We are thrilled to announce that the Mobile Museum of Tolerance (MMOT) is making its way to the Illinois State Fair this year! Mark your calendars and get ready to embark on an enlightening journey of understanding and compassion. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience this inspiring mobile exhibit that has touched the lives of countless individuals across the state of Illinois.

Location:
The Mobile Museum of Tolerance will be present at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield, located at 801 E Sangamon Ave. Our exhibit will be available for exploration starting at 10am each day from August 10-20, 2023, except on Saturdays. You can find us south of the Lincoln Stage during the fair. We look forward to welcoming you!

Engaging Exhibits:
The Mobile Museum of Tolerance offers an array of immersive historical narrative experiences. Visitors can watch a documentary featuring various American Civil Rights heroes, drawing parallels with other civil rights movements throughout US history. They can also learn about Anne Frank and the Holocaust through a short film and discussion, fostering an understanding of anti-Semitism and resistance. A video exploring the roles of ordinary people during the Holocaust will stimulate discussion about contemporary relevance and encourage activism for tolerance. Lastly, a workshop on digital media literacy will equip participants with the knowledge to identify harmful media, combat online hate, stand against violence, and shape a positive social media presence.
Make A Positive Impact:
We believe that positive change starts with each and every one of us. Join us at the State Fair, and together, let’s pave the way for a more inclusive and compassionate future. There are various ways to support the Mobile Museum of Tolerance, including donations and spreading the message of tolerance in your community.   Donate Today
